Thomas Carr BVMS GPcert(SAM) MRCVS Tom is a partner in the practice with his wife Alison.Tom qualified from Glasgow University in 1987.He worked in mixed practice in Cornwall before settling in Pershore in 1990 joining Roger Martin's practice.For the last 15 years or so Tom has enjoyed developing the practice to its present site with his wife Alison.Tom is interested in medical diagnostics ,most especially ultrasonagraphy and endoscopy.In his spare time he enjoys gardening, taxi driving(the kids), and amateur paleontology. |

Alison Carr BVMS MRCVS Alison is a partner in the practice with her husband Tom.After qualifying from Glasgow vet school in 1987, I worked in Lincolnshire then Devon before marrying Tom and settling in Pershore.We have three children, one boy at Cambridge University studying engineering, one boy and one girl at Pershore High School, two dogs and two guinea pigs.I do a small amount of clinical work but am more involved behind the scenes in surgery and management. My main interest is soft tissue surgery especially minimally invasive surgery using laparoscopic techniques.I am a fitness fanatic, dog walker and garden labourer. As a family we love to ski, hill walk and be active together. |

James Garland BVSc GPcertSAS MRCVS James is a senior associate in the practice. James qualified with commendation from Liverpool University in 1996. He worked in a veterinary hospital before joining Martin and Carr in 1999. Since then, he has worked hard to develop the surgical and orthopaedic side of the practice, as this is where his main interest lies. In 2009 he gained an additional qualification in surgery. James is married and has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Peggy and Conker. He enjoys taking them on holidays in his 1974 VW Camper, provided he can keep it running. He is also starting to landscape his garden, a seemingly never-ending task. |

Monica Jackson BVSc MRCVS Monica qualified from Liverpool in 1973. She joined the practice in 1987, when it was still Roger Martin. Her particular interests are canine and feline behaviour and chronic pain relief. She is a member of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists and practices Western Scientific Acupuncture in both dogs and cats, as part of a holistic approach to pain control. At home she has a 15-year-old fluffy cat called Arabel. In her spare time she enjoys walking and gardening and visiting her two grown up daughters. |

Emma Mapletoft BVSc MRCVS Emma joined Martin and Carr Vets in 2008 after qualifying with a commendations and a merit in smal animal studies. Emma is particularly interested in animal behaviour. She also has a special interest in rabbits. |

Eliza Collins BVetMed MRCVS Eliza joined us in September 2009, having qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London. As well as the small animal side, she is one of our farm vets. In her spare time she goes climbing with Victoria and plays the French horn. She has a black cat called Cecil who you may see around the surgery from time to time. |

Hannah Lomas BVetMed MRCVS Hannah worked in a mixed practice in Cornwall before joining Martin and Carr in March 2011. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary college in 2009. Hannah is equally interested in small animal medicine and surgery. She has two cats Noel and Benson. |

Amy Blackwell BSc BVSc MRCVS Amy joined us in 2011 after qualifying from Bristol university. She grew up surrounded by various animals and enjoys hearing about peoples pets adventures! In her spare time she enjoys playing rugby, cooking and walking her naughty Patterdale terris, Milly. |
