Louie Nicholas

Louie Nicholas VN Head Nurse

Louie has worked in the practice since 1997. Louie’s special interests are in radiography, dentistry and pharmacology. Louie has a five-year-old flat coat retriever called Molly.

Emma Williams

Emma Williams VN Deputy Head Nurse

Emma has worked here since November 2003. She is particularly enthusiastic about orthopaedic operations and general surgical procedures.

Beth Stanley

Beth Stanley Client Care Coordinator

Beth is one of our most experienced nurses. She has developed an interest in neonatal care and is especially talented at running our puppy parties. In her spare time, Beth can be found supporting her two sons playing rugby. She also enjoys training her Springer spaniels, Pebble and Lizzy.

Jane Harding

Jane Harding RVN A1 Assessor

Jane has been nursing at Martin and Carr Vets since 1997. As our Veterinary Nurse Assessor, she is kept busy helping the trainees and marking the student portfolios. Her other interests include general surgery and farm work. When not working, Jane enjoys juggling family life with a growing vegetable plot and a large array of animals.

Rachael McCooey

Rachael McCooey RVN A1 Assessor

Rachael is an A1 Assessor and so dedicates a lot of time to helping the trainees with their portfolios. She enjoys nursing medical cases. Rach lives with her husband, Barry, and Sophie, the Springer spaniel. In her spare time, she can be found out and about with her two horses Victor and Pogue.

Carmen Hardwick

Carmen Hardwick ANA SVN Theatre Manager

Carmen has been a student vet nurse at the practice since July 2007. She is our theatre manager and enjoys scrubbing in to orthopaedic operations. She eagerly awaits her examination results. She has a three-year-old black Labrador called Zac.

Sam Foster

Sam Foster ANA SVN

Sam has been with the practice since January 2006 and qualified as an ANA in 2007. She is currently waiting for her final examination results. She has a particular interest in feline behaviour, clinical nutrition, medical nursing and in puppy training. Sam helps run out puppy parties. She lives with her two cats, Mia and Tibby and her lurcher, Tia. In her spare time, Sam enjoys socialising, reading, shopping and pampering her cats.

Caitlin Hughes

Caitlin Hughes SVN

Caitlin has been working at Martin and Carr Vets since August 2009. She is a trainee nursing assistant and will start attending college in September 2010. Caitlin particularly enjoys the large animal aspect of the job and has a special interest in TB testing. Caitlin lives with her parents, brother and mad dog Alfie. She is a keen Young Farmer.

Dani Richardson

Dani Richardson ANA TVN

Dani has worked in the practice since January 2007. She enjoys farm work and has a special interest in young animals. She is also involved in running our puppy parties. She is currently studying her first year nursing course. Dani has a beautiful two-year-old cat called George and also enjoys socialising with friends.

Carly Burke

Carly Burke SVN

Carly has been here since October 2008. She has a particular interest in post-operative care and nursing hospitalised patients. She is currently studying in her first year at college. Carly has recently hand reared her own orphaned kitten from five days old.

Emma Horsey

Emma Horsey SVN

Emma is currently in her final year at college, studying veterinary nursing. She has been working at Martin and Carr Vets since December 2007 and enjoys laboratory work, general anatomy and parasitology. When fully qualified, she would like to be an emergency night nurse.
